3D Printers
The Aero Maker Space has an arsenal of 3D printers for personal and research use, from quick decorative prints to strong carbon fiber parts.
There are 8 consumer Prusa printers at the AMS. They are free for all students and faculty to use and are tuned to print at very high quality.
The AMS has 3 Stratasys printers featuring dissolvable support that are usually reserved for research projects. Our F370 can also print composite materials.
The Formlabs Form 2 and Form 3 printers are SLA printers used for research projects and prints that need very high precision.
The Makerbot Method X prints nylon carbon fiber infused parts with dissolvable supports.
The Stratasys PolyJet is a revolutionary full-color 3D printer that can resin print in a full spectrum of colors. It will be available in the end of the Spring 2023 semester.
Laser Cutters
The AMS has three laser cutters including the largest on campus. The Laser Cutters are free for all students and faculty to use. While we often have scrap plywood and acrylic, if you have a particular material in mind for a project you will need to purchase that yourself.
